Self-Study Interactive CBT Computer Certification Training In MS Office Skills - Some Insights
Just ten percent of adults in Great Britain are enjoying job satisfaction. Of course, most won't do a thing. The reality of your getting here at least tells us that you've realised change must come.
We recommend you seek advice first - find someone who knows the industry; a guide who can really get to know you and find the best job role for you, and then show you the learning programs which will get you there:
* Do you see yourself dealing with people? Is that as part of a team or with many new people? Maybe working on your own in a task-based situation would be more your thing?
* What do you need from the industry your job is in? (Things do change - look at the building trade, or banks for example.)
* After re-training, how long a career do you hope for, and will the industry offer you that opportunity?
* Will the information you learn allow you to discover new employment possibilities, and remain in employment until you wish to retire?
We would advise you to really explore Information Technology - there are a larger number of roles than staff to fill them, and it's a rare career choice where the sector is growing. Despite the opinions of certain people, it isn't a bunch of techie geeks looking at screens all day long (though naturally some jobs are like that.) The majority of jobs are occupied by ordinary men and women who like receiving larger than average salaries.
If you're considering a training school that still provides 'in-centre workshop days' as a necessary part of their training, then listen to these problems encountered by many students:
* Masses of driving back and forth from the workshops - often hundreds of miles.
* Taking frequent time off work - most schools provide availability during weekdays and group several days in a chunk. To be honest, this doesn't suit working people, and it's made more problematic when travel time is included.
* Holiday days lost - a lot of students only get 4 weeks annual leave. If over half of it is swallowed up by study classes, vacation time is going to be quite short for students and their families.
* With the high costs involved, many training companies really push the size of the class - not really ideal (and far less personal).
* Often, tension develops in classes as students want to progress at their own pace.
* Take into account all of all the fares or petrol, food, accommodation and parking and you could be in for a major shock. Attendees have reported extra costs mounting to several hundred and sometimes thousands of pounds. Take some time to add it all up - then you'll know.
* Is it worth even a small chance of being ignored for a possible promotion or pay-rises because of your studies.
* Surely, all of us at some time have avoided asking a question, because we didn't want to look stupid?
* It should be remembered that days in-centre become nigh on unreachable, when you work away for some part of the year.
For a far more flexible approach, utilise pre-made classes at the location of your choice - studying at your own pace, when it suits you - not someone else. Training can take place wherever it suits you. Got a laptop?... Then why not catch some fresh air in your garden as you work. Any problems and logon to the 24x7 support facility. You have the ability to re-watch and re-cover the elements as often as you need to. You also don't need to take notes because the class is available whenever you want it. What could be simpler: No travelling, wasted time or money; and of course you get a more stress-free study atmosphere.
